Two types of games:

Players may be created during game creation.
A player can be removed with a long clic on his name.

Important: to create a game, it is not sufficient to create players. You should also select at least one of them and clic on the green icon to confirm.

How to play?

go to next player
shuffle letters inside the rack or (long clic) pass (exchange letters if authorized)

Create a word by clicking or sliding letters horizontally in the rack.
Move a word by dragging it to the board.
Change the word orientation by dragging it through the right edge (switch to vertical) or through the top edge (switch to horizontal).

When a word is placed on the board, the score is displayed in green in the top right corner.
When this number is in yellow, it is the number of letters left in the bag.

When placing a word on special cells, some bonus applies:
double letter score
triple letter score
double word score
triple word score

When a player has validated a word (by clicking on ), the best solutions can be displayed (if specified in settings).
A yellow star appears in the top left corner, with the number of solutions whose score exceed the player's one. To see the best solution, click on the star. To see the next (previous) solution, slide the board to the left (right).

Endgame

A classic game is finished:

A duplicate game is finished when there is no possible move (with the selected dictionary).

My Word Game is not Scrabble®

Board, letter values and frequencies are not like the famous game.
The first player must start by placing its word at the center of the board, but this word has not its value mutiplied by 2!
If a player places all seven letters, the bonus is 49 points (7x7).
A player can change letters, even if there are less than 7 letters in the bag.

A word about dictionaries

English dictionary is a subset of the public domain YAWL dictionary. It contains about 170 000 words.

French dictionary comes from the Eliot Scrabble® game. It contains about 300 000 words and is almost like the ODS (Officiel du Scrabble®).

German dictionary comes from the Linux Suse distribution. It contains about 500 000 words.
Under GPL license, the dictionary is available here.

Spanish dictionary is available on the International Spanish-Scrabble Federation web site.

Some of these dictionaries are built from GPL/LGPL word lists. In order to comply with those licenses, source code to compile the dictionaries in the MWG format is available at this address: http://android-mwg.appspot.com/dictionary/gen.cpp.
GPL licence text is available here.
